He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Cornwell and Ida Mae Cornwell; and his daughter Christy Kim Cornwell Bernard. He is survived by: his wife Bennie Kay Cornwell; his children, Julie Ione Cornwell, John Fredrick Cornwell Jr. and Kenneth Michael (Kenny); his grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Teddie Kay, Brooke, Brandon, Cody, Jack, Jake, Christian, Cohen, Dylan and Braden; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Emma, Macy, Addie, Maddie, Brenly, Tallulah, Alaina, Damien, Layna, Stevie and Phoenix. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Winscott Road Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1001 Winscott Rd, Benbrook, TX 76126). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (100 Paint Pony Trail N, Fort Worth, TX 76108).
