It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Whitt Pennington of Meridian, Texas, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, K. E. Pennington and Lula Bess Hardegree; and his wife Gloria Mince Pennington. He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Stevens and Lori Morgan (Ernie); his grandchildren, Michael Stevens, Cayden Morgan and Kaylee Heetland (Clayton); his brother Horace Pennington (Nell); his close friend Shirley Sides; and his caregiver Rachel Byrd. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Meridian First Baptist Church (207 N Hill St, Meridian, TX 76665). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
