With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ocie L. Swaim of Dallas, Texas, born in Bluffton, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Moss Swaim; his granddaughter LaShaun Swaim; his parents, Gilbert Swaim and Clara Opal Williams Swaim; and his siblings, Euldean Swaim, Betty Watts and Boyce Swaim.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary Swaim of Snyder and Mark Swaim (Jeanie) of Dallas, Texas; his siblings, Bobbye Gillum of Pine Bluff, Royce Swaim (Sandra) of Crossett and Shelly Swaim of Gould; and his grandchildren, Meagan Higginbotham (E. J.), Joshua Swaim and Bethany Rosson. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home (302 E Lincoln St, Hamburg, AR 71646). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church (765 Ashley Rd 70, Hamburg, AR 71646). A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dark Corner Cemetery.
