He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burton Smelley and Georgia Idell (Cook); his wife Loy Nell Smelley; his son Wes Suttle; and his siblings, Wyman, Alton Smelley and Loleta Manry.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Jeanna Suttle Howton (Ken) of Corrigan; his grandchildren, Paul Suttle (Ashley Hazen) of Dallas and Kathryn Suttle of McKinney; his nieces, Ann Standley of Corrigan, Susan Hubbard (Hal) of Corrigan and Debra Vitanza (Vic) of Livingston; and his sisters-in-law, Billie Smelley of Conroe and Janice Swain (Bill) of Round Rock. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church (103 N Collins St, Corrigan, TX 75939). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
