She was predeceased by: her husband James Richards; and her grandson Kenneth Nearn. She is survived by: her children, Linda Nearn and Marc (Leilane Richards); her half-sister Arlene Jack (Danny); her grandsons, Brad Richards and Gregory (Adrienne); and her great grandchild Lillian Richards.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Chism-Smith Funeral Home (403 S Britain Rd, Irving, TX 75060). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM and at 1:30 PM.
Her contributions to the community extended beyond the classroom as she held the esteemed position of past president of the Irving Ladies Lions and was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Irving Chapter 777.
