With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Kemp of Terrell, Texas, who passed away on May 4, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Kemp and Emmie Turner Kemp; and his brother J. C. Kemp, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sally Jensen Kemp of Terrell; his daughters, Jamie Stone (Bruce) of Grand Prairie and Connie Quinn (Matthew Quinn III) of Mountain Grove, MO; his brother Phillip Kemp of Goldthwaite; and his grandchildren, Brian Stone, Jerrod Stone, Amanda Villareal, Daniel Tucker and Laura Shirley. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bartley Funeral Home (1015 W Wolfe St, Grand Saline, TX 75140). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
