He was predeceased by: his father Ernest, Sr. Smith; and his siblings, Ernest Smith, Jr., Laura Smith and Kathleen Smith. He is survived by: his mother Annie Lee Smith of Hemphill; his wife Linda D. Smith; his children, Will Smith, Jr. of Hemphill, Otha L. Smith (Tersya) of Lafayette, LA, Andre Smith (Judy) of Austin, Herbert Smith (Gwen) of LaPlace, LA, Daphlyn Mitchell of Avondale, AZ and Jessica Smith of Dallas; his siblings, Robert Smith (Cynthis) of St. Petersburg, FL, Charles Smith of Hemphill, Barbara Smith Hayes (Clifton) of Houston, Earnestine Stinson (Jessie) of Dallas and Debra Brown (Wayne) of Hemphill; his daughter-in-law Lawandra M. Smith; and his son Carlos Parks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas Johnson Church of Christ (840 Thomas Johnson Rd, Hemphill, TX 75948). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at the Macedonia Cemetery (211 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948).
