The passing of Jana James of Gainesville, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on August 22, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Cagle and Jane Cagle (Duval). She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Prestage (Randy) of Gainesville and Lindsay Dodson (Colby) of Gainesville; her grandchildren, Landon Prestage, Kennedy Dodson and Kinsler Dodson; and her siblings, Steve Cagle (Susan) of Irving and Julie Leeper Mayberry of Frisco. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (308 E Broadway St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (710 Fair Ave, Gainesville, TX 76240).
