It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francisco Salvador Garcia Olivas of Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leopoldo Garcia and Librada Garcia (Olivas); his siblings, Petra, Loretto Garcia, Abel, Chuy and Alfonso Garcia; and also Ruben Luna.
He is survived by: his sons, Luis Garcia (Alexis Downing) of San Antonio, TX and Francisco; his daughter-in-law Carolina Garcia of Lufkin; his children, David Garcia (Kaitlyn Orouke) and Jacqueline Garcia of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Isaac Garcia, Ivan Garcia, Damien Garcia, Matteo Garcia, Bella Rose Garcia, Charlie Garcia, Norman Orouke and Lilliana Garcia; his brother Antonio Garcia of Mexico; his close friend Memo Lopez of Lufkin; and his adoptive son Michael Rivera.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shafer Funeral Home (600 N John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
