He was predeceased by: his parents, Addie Garwitz and T. A. Garwitz; and his brother Bud Garwitz. He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his son Dennis Thomas Garwitz Jr.; his daughter-in-law Kristine; his sister-in-law Mary Pike; his grandchildren, Thomas Garwitz (Brianna), Tanner Garwitz and Tatum Hassell (John); and his great grandchildren, Lyla, Finley, Adeline and Eleanor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Et Restland Funeral Home (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75081). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Restland Memorial Park (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75081).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in honor of Dennis's compassionate spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others.
