With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria P. Guerra of Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on August 29, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband José Amando Guerra; her siblings, Lupe, Mela, Cruz, Leicha, Beto and Roumaldo; and her parents, Ramón Peña and Victoria Tanguma.
She is survived by: her children, Juan Jesús (Jesse), María (Lulu) of Lourdes, Felix Amando, Verónica, Noel and Noemí; and her sibling Juve. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (302 S 15th St, McAllen, TX 78501). The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery (2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
