He is survived by: his significant other Venita Kay Merchant (Williams); his children, Chester Malachi "Mac" Merchant (Dana) of Santa Fe, Benjamin Ray "Ben" Merchant of Santa Fe and Jodi Lynn Merchant (Oscar) of Santa Fe; his siblings, William Merchant of Virginia and Alice Merchant of Santa Fe; his grandchildren, Dylan Ray Merchant, Peyton Merchant, Dallas Ray Frye, Vince Frye, Dawn Pence, Trent Merchant, Kay Kay Frye and Brett Frye; and his great grandchildren, Violet, Daniel, Kayden and Kensley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Paul Tibaldo Youth Building (10 Jack Brooks Rd, Hitchcock, TX 77563).
