He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Edwards and Winnie Edwards; and his wife Martha Ann Edwards. He is survived by: his sons, Mike Edwards (Angie) of Mount Pleasant, TX and David Edwards of Mount Pleasant, TX; his grandchildren, Kendall (Ashley Edwards) of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Kayla (Glenn Barras) of Gonzales, LA, Jessica Edwards (Nikki) of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Joshua Hatfield (Bailie Edwards) of Cookville, TX and Kassi (Andrew Mowrey) of Dallas, TX; and his great grandchildren, Kinley, Ramzee, Coy, Emma, Josie, Vivie Kate, Everleigh, Nora, Jaxon, Tommy, John and Lexi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home (2805 S Jefferson Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the South Jefferson Baptist Church (1701 S Jefferson Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at the Blevins Cemetery.
