He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Kemp Whitten and Troy Whitten Sr.; and his sisters, Peggy Barksdale and Patsy Allen. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Paige Whitten of Columbus, MS, Jill Storer (Simon) of Jonesboro, AR, Heather Milam of Columbus, MS, Jeff Weeks (Marla) of Colorado Springs, CO and Greg Weeks (Lisa) of Wimberley, TX; his brother Terry Whitten of Columbus, MS.; his grandchildren, Morgan Weeks (Brayden), Waverly McDaniel (Eric), JJ Weeks (Claire), Jordan Weeks (Kirby), Sawyer Weeks, Jesse Weeks, Maggie Storer, Webb Storer (Clara), Caroline Milam and Sophie Milam; and his great grandchildren, Tripp, Bo, Shep and Woods.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thomason Funeral Home - Wimberley (14700 Ranch Rd 12, Wimberley, TX 78676). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
