He was predeceased by: his parents, James Abram and Leone McFaden Dinkins; his wife Patricia Ann Dinkins; his granddaughter Kyla (Gary); and his sisters, Rosalia Dinkins Ballowe and Dolores Dinkins Cheatham.
He is survived by: his children, Alicia Dinkins Hatcher (Darin), Cary Ann Dinkins Hoge (Jeff), Teresa Dinkins Haarz (Blaine), Michelle Watson (Greg), Jaqueline Horsley (George Sweetnam), Joseph Carden and Christopher Carden; and his sister Karen Dinkins. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
