He is survived by: his wife Linda Ernst of Fairview, Texas; his children, Jim Ernst of Dallas, Jan Esparza (Henry) of Allen, Sheryl Jurovic (John) of McKinney, Karen Hornick (Jeff) of Rockwall and Michael Ernst of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Justin Esparza of McKinney, Ashton Esparza of Dallas, Lauren Oliver (Ryan) of McKinney, Ryan, Joshua, Kyle Jurovic of McKinney Texas, Hunter Hornick (Haley) of Rockwall, Finnian Ernst of Austin and Astoria Ernst of Cedar Park, Texas; his great grandchildren, Ryker, Landon and Kaiden Hornick; and his sister Marlene Vanloh of Temple, Texas. He is also survived by extended family members and many friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (1515 N Greenville Ave, Allen, TX 75002).
