She was predeceased by: her spouse Tito Melendéz; her parents, Alex Neal and Josephine Harris Neal; her son Jose Melendéz; her granddaughter Sofia Cardona; and her siblings, Ronald Neal, William Neal and Paulette McAdory.
She is survived by: her children, Leonardo Melendéz, Brunilda Melendéz, Teresa Caporale, Jacqueline Melendéz (Bruce) and Maria Melendéz; and her sister Alexis Lawrence. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Martin de Porres Church (136 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at the Beaverdale Memorial Park (90 Pine Rock Ave, New Haven, CT 06515).
