With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anna T. Matthes of Avon, Connecticut, who passed away on April 14, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anna T. Matthes to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband David Knight Matthes; her parents, Vincent Lupo and Maria Felicia Lupo (Spina); and her siblings, Andrew Lupo, Grace Galeotti, Marie Dragilow, Vincent Lupo, Anthony Lupo, Elizabeth Graceffo and John Lupo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa M. Matthes of Madison, CT and Michele M. Matthes (AJ Cappabianca) of Canton, CT; her grandchildren, Olivia Ann Matthes Theriault, Sophia Marie Matthes Theriault, Renny Matthes Theriault, Colin J. Matthes Theriault and Andrew J. Cappabianca; and her sisters-in-law, Louise Lupo and Jane Lupo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:15 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of Saint Ann (289 Arch Rd, Avon, CT 06001). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Ann Cemetery (39 Arch Rd, Avon, CT 06001).
