It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ligia Chipelo of Naugatuck, Connecticut, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alfredo F. Chipelo; her parents, Cirilo Castillo and Josefa Cirila Morales; and her siblings, Eliseo Morales, Abilio Morales and Emma Morales of Chavier.
She is survived by: her children, Beatrice Chipelo (Robert Guerrera) of Wolcott, Alfred Chipelo, Jr. of Naugatuck and Rosa De Sousa (John) of Naugatuck; and her siblings, Nilda Isabel Morales of Crespo, Isabel Morales of Crespo, Aleida Morales of Suarez and Gerardo Morales of Venezuela. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chase Parkway Memorial (430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (2071 Baldwin St, Waterbury, CT 06706). A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. James Cemetery (249 Cross St, Naugatuck, CT 06770).
