He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Murdy; his parents, Joseph Murdy and Amy Murdy; his son William D. Murdy Jr.; his siblings, Joe, John Murdy and Sylvia Benson; and his significant other Ginger Godley Murdy.
He is survived by: his sons, James Murdy and Dave Murdy (Carmella); his daughter-in-law Linda E. Murdy; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Bethany, Samuel, Mark, Thomas, Lillian and Matthew; and his siblings, Rose Sobol (Harold), Ingrid Murdy, Bobby Dumas and Leo Dumas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home (88 E Main St, Meriden, CT 06450). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish (109 Goodwill Ave, Meriden, CT 06451).
