He was predeceased by: his parents, Irl Woodring and Elisabeth Woodring; and his sister Margaret Brown (James Russel Brown). He is survived by: his wife Marie Geibel Woodring; his children, John (Cindy Woodring) and Susan (Craig Ahrens); his grandsons, Erik (Marah Woodring), Kevin, Kyle Woodring, Ryan and Connor Ahrens; his great grandchild Joseph John "JJ" Woodring; his brother Louis; his sister-in-law Barbara Geibel; his nephews, Lou, David Geibel and Stephen Brown; and his niece Betsi Hytha.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Seabury Retirement Community (200 Seabury Dr, Bloomfield, CT 06002).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Richard Woodring Endowed Professorship at Drexel University, PO Box 8215, Philadelphia, PA 19101-9684.
