It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara J. Bergonzi of Chester, Connecticut, who passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Koritkoski and Katherine Koritkoski (Shumbo); and her nephew Mark French. She is survived by: her husband Joseph "Joe" Bergonzi; her sister Betty French; her children, Kimberly Sauro (Frank) and Kelly Duda (Matthew); her grandchildren, Adam, Alex Duda, Ryan and Rachel Duda; and her godsons, Michael French, James Grzybowski and Michael Platt.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home (34 Main St, Centerbrook, CT 06409). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Joseph's Church (48 Middlesex Turnpike, Chester, CT 06412).
