Mary Abrahamian
(90 years old)
We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2025, at the age of 90, Mary Abrahamian of New Britain, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shavarsh Yessian and Vartouhi Yessian (Pilibosian); her husband Gregory; her siblings-in-law, Paul Abrahamian, John Maljanian, Arthur Simonian and Margaret Abrahamian; and her nephew Craig Simonian.
She is survived by: her children, Lee of New York City, Diane (Gerard Roy) of Farmington, Gregory of Newington and David of Farmington; her grandchildren, Jack, Sam and Lily Roy; her sisters, Lucy Simonian of New Britain and Roxie Maljanian of Newington; and also, Maryann and Dan Collin. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Armenian Church (1910 Stanley St, New Britain, CT 06053). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (120 Smalley St, New Britain, CT 06051). The family is grateful to Father Haroutiun Sabounjian for his treasured visits and blessings, and for keeping the church livestreams up post-Covid, so Mary could continue to participate in services and discussion groups.
