We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2025, at the age of 92, Mary Lou Caras of Groton, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Fahey and Grace Avery Fahey; her husbands, Christopher Chapman and Charles Caras; and her son James Chapman.
She is survived by: her children, Martha Christina (Tony), Christopher Chapman, MD (Eunice) and Lawrence Chapman (Valerie); her stepson Gordon Caras; her brother Edmund Fahey; her grandchildren, Brian (Holly), Caitlin (Brett), Shannon, Jennifer, Danny, Alexis and Chris; and her great grandchildren, Kellen, Grayson, Delaney and Graham.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Colonel Ledyard Cemetery (256 Mitchell St, Groton, CT 06340).
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 169 Old Colchester Road, Quaker Hill, CT 06375 or the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901.
