He was predeceased by: his parents, James O'Brien and Ethel O'Brien (Greenwood); and his sons, Edward, Timothy, Patrick and Gregory O'Brien.
He is survived by: his wife Florence O'Brien (Brennan); his children, Michael O'Brien (Leslie), Kenneth O'Brien, Stephen O'Brien (Jackie) and Maureen O'Brien; his daughters-in-law, Caroline O'Brien and Lindy O'Brien; and his sisters, Delores Semeraro and Karen Matott. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (574 Main St, Watertown, CT 06795). A burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (669 Platt Rd, Watertown, CT 06795).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Edward's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
