With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence Scungio of Putnam, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 21, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Lawrence shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lawrence farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Scungio, Sr. and Margaret Scungio (Valenti). He is survived by: his wife Marie Scungio (DiSano); his daughters, Jennifer Liard (Nick Liard) and Gina Cesario (Joseph Cesario); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Eddy, Gianna Eddy, Christian Cesario and Megan Cesario.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Greater Rhode Island Baptist Temple (671 Greenville Ave, Johnston, RI 02919).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory may be made directly to the church.
