With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Christos (Danbury, Connecticut), born in Bethel, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 20, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Thumann and Dorothy Thumann (Wistrand). She is survived by: her children, Laurie Divine (Michael), Terrie Christos and James Christos (Vaso); her grandchildren, Matthew Divine (Renée), Jesse Divine (Yahaira), James Christos (Merredith), Rachael Cooke (David), Emma Cooke, Christopher Christos, Wesley Cooke, Amanda Christos (Matt) and Sandra Schneider (Nate); and her great grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Jackson, Isla, Hunter, Krewe, Kai, Xavier and Sophia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cornell Memorial (247 White St, Danbury, CT 06810). A prayer will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church (30 Clapboard Ridge Rd, Danbury, CT 06811). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery.
