He was predeceased by: his sister June Newell; his brothers-in-law, Thomas LeVasseur, Fred Newell and Gary Sheedy; and his nephew Douglas Newell.
He is survived by: his wife Gail (LeVasseur); his children, Ronald Douglas (Kathleen) and Alissa Pittman (Matthew); his grandsons, Matthew and Maxwell Pittman; his siblings-in-law, Louise Sheedy and Donald LeVasseur (Doris); and his niece Kara Ireland.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (24 Lincoln Ave, Bristol, CT 06010). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew Church (120 Church Ave, Bristol, CT 06010). A procession will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (522 Terryville Ave, Bristol, CT 06010).
