With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alois J. Buerk (Windsor, Connecticut), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta Louise Buerk (Lou); his parents, Alois Buerk and Katherina Buerk Evanauski (Moser); his son Daniel; his daughter-in-law Deirdre; and his sister Mary Dutton.
He is survived by: his children, David (Clare), Paul (Julie), Michael (Karrie) and Betsy Kennedy (Jerry); his grandchildren, Dillon Buerk (Jessica), Daniel Buerk (Kelly), Derek Buerk, Conor Buerk, Joseph Buerk, Matthew Buerk (Ann Marie), Justin Buerk (Shannon), Logan Buerk, Alexandra Buerk, Austin Buerk, Taylor Rush (Kaitlyn), Adam Buerk, Madison Kennedy and Sadie Kennedy; and his great grandchildren, Michaela Buerk, Gavin Buerk, Ella Buerk, Tessa Buerk, Joseph Buerk, Caden Buerk, Jackson Buerk, Amelia Buerk, Kaya Buerk, Audrey Hooper, Hadlee Buerk, Katherina Buerk and Liam Buerk.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blessed Sacrament Parish - St. Bernard (25 St Bernard's Terrace, Vernon, CT 06066). The inurnment will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Bernard Cemetery (12 Tolland Ave, Vernon, CT 06066).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Bernard Catholic Church or any charity of your choice.
