Bruce Abate

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bruce Abate of Wallingford, Connecticut, who passed away on August 25, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Abate and Loretta Abate (Torello); and his sister Marilyn Tufano. He is survived by: his wife Linda Theresa Abate (Sposa); his children, Charise Terranova (Michael) of Westerly, RI, Bruce R. Abate (Kimberly) of Cheshire and Christopher Abate (Shannon) of Plainville; his grandchildren, Ryan Deming (Holly), Kai Abate, Francesca, Michael Terranova and Chelsi Nuzzo; and his great grandchildren, Brooke and Ella Deming. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephew.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home (4 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
