He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hooey and Dorothy Cowles Hooey; and his sister Lois Hooey Leggett. He is survived by: his children, Laureen Hooey Cohen (Max) and Dale Hooey; his grandchildren, Lyndsay Sullivan (Robert), Brittney Maynard (Steven), Garrett Cohen (Jennifer), Taylor Hooey, Corodon Hooey and Mitchell Hooey; his brother Norman Prescott; and his great grandchildren, Dawson, Rypley, Baylor and Paisley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holmes Funeral (400 Main St, Manchester, CT 06040). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home (400 Main St, Manchester, CT 06040).
Memorial contributions may be made to the "Disabled American Veterans" (DAV) in memory of Allan Hooey.
