With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jean M. Schmaling of Waterbury, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Sanford Schmaling; her parents, Gerald O'Neil and Helen O'Neil (Donston); and her siblings, William, Charles, Gerald O'Neil, Peggy Lubinski, Karen Dinneny and Anna O'Neil.
She is survived by: her son Wayne Schmaling (Jennifer Godwin) of Vernon, CT; and her siblings, Sheron Shepard of Waterbury, CT and James O'Neil of Naugatuck, CT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home (430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708).
