She was predeceased by: her spouse Jaime Diegas Alves; her parents, Antonio Joao Borges and Albertina Borges; her children, Joao Borges Alves and Bella Maria Alves; her siblings, Antonio Borges and Presiosa Borges; and her son-in-law Jose Goncalves.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alfredina DeSousa (Raul), Tina Goncalves and Anabella Henriques (Gilberto); her daughter-in-law Maria Alves; her grandchildren, Peter DeSousa (Ines), Claudia Goss (Nathan), Bruno DeSousa, Teresa Rhodes (Logan), Patricia Goncalves, Francisco Henriques, Stacy Reinoso (Carlos) and Valter Alves; her great grandchildren, Luke, Avery, Bailey, Payton, Reagan, Presley, Adalynn, Kaden, Andreas, Jaime, Rachel and Noah; her great great grandchild Lucia; and her sister Albertina Couto. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport, CT 06608). A burial will be held on Monday, April 20th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the St. Michael Cemetery (2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford, CT 06615).
