He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Szymanski and Steffa Szymanski (Stobierski); his sister Carol Boland (Ralph); and his sister-in-law Jeanette Loughlin (William). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Szymanski (Filanowski); his children, Robert Szymanski Jr. (Jane Butler), Daniel Szymanski (Susan) and Jane Mullany (Stephen); his grandchildren, Amanda Mariconda (Kyle), Daniel Szymanski (Marissa), Kyle Szymanski (Kristen), Matthew Szymanski, Jessica Mullany (Owen) and Stephen Mullany; and his brother-in-law Samuel Filanowski (Patricia).
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Lawrence Church (505 Shelton Ave, Shelton, CT 06484).
