We announce the death of Unok Hong (Brookfield, Wisconsin), who passed away on June 10, 2026, at the age of 71. Unok will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Unok will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Unok will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Unok’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She is survived by: her husband Songtae Hong; her son Brian Hong; her daughter-in-law Katie McGinn; her son Matthew Hong; and her grandchildren, Everett, Cecelia and Eliza. She is also survived by many siblings, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Church and Chapel Funeral Home-Brookfield (1875 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
