With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Slewa Shao of El Cajon, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 5, 2025 at the age of 84. Though Slewa may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Slewa touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Yalda Shao and Mariam Oraha. He is survived by: his son Adel Shao. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral (1627 Jamacha Way, El Cajon, CA 92019). A burial will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102). A reception will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral (1627 Jamacha Way, El Cajon, CA 92019).
