With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Mary Simoes (Visalia, California), who passed away on August 26, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Souza and Mary Souza; her siblings, Clarice Souza Mathias, Danny Souza and Joe Souza; her siblings-in-law, Tony Mathias, John Simoes, Manuel Raulino, Tony Oliveira, John Fernandes, Carolyn Miguel Souza and Mary Simoes Oliveira; her nephew Manuel Oliveira; her great-nieces, Chandler Souza and Mia Crumbl; her husband Mario Simoes; her daughter Leslene (Robert "Chipper"); her grandson Michael; and her son-in-law Mark Ribeiro.
She is survived by: her sister Christine Souza; her sisters-in-law, Lisa Souza (Danny) and Olivia Souza (Joe); and her children, Mario Jr. (Celeste), Leanne (David), Melvin (Glynette) and Mark. She is also survived by her children, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, and two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel (127 E Caldwell Ave, Visalia, CA 93277). A rosary will be held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church (125 E Pleasant Ave, Tulare, CA 93274). A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Tulare Cemetery (900 E Kern Ave, Tulare, CA 93274). A burial will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
