It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walid Hanna of Chula Vista, California, who passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Walid may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Walid touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis Yousif and Souad Shayota; and his wife Elham.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral (1627 Jamacha Way, El Cajon, CA 92019). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102).
