It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janette Arnold (Modesto, California), born in Merced, California, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Robinson and Thelma Robinson; her husband Grant Arnold; her son Grant; and her grandson Jason Arnold (Amy).
She is survived by: her daughters, Vanette Arnold (George Shimel), Kim McCarthy (Jeff) and Sheila Arnold (Mike Graven); her stepdaughter Starr Donati; and her grandchildren, Bryan Arnold (Shauna), Grant Arnold (Marisela), James McCarthy (Elise), Kevin McCarthy (Madeline), Vanette Cates (Eric), Mark Shimel, Steven Shimel, Todd Donati (Jennifer) and Chaz Donati.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home - McHenry Chapel (1050 McHenry Ave, Modesto, CA 95350). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Snelling Cemetery.
