He is survived by: his wife Yumiko Nitao; his daughters, Janet Morishita (Mark), Susan Nitao and June Yakura (Chris); his grandchildren, Allyson, Lynn Morishita, Tyler Yakura and Audrey Taberna; and his siblings, Yoshiaki Nitao (Yoko), Shigeko Hirano (Yoneho) of Japan and Hiroe Matsuda (Haruhiko) of Japan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Newport Beach Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple (254 Victoria St, Costa Mesa, CA 92627).
