He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lisa Welby-Gusmini of Holliston, MA, Linda Welby-Bunn (Austin) of San Diego, CA, Jean Peugh of San Diego, CA, Joan Gillespie (Donald) of Scituate, MA and Joseph Welby (Alicia) of Scituate, MA.; and his parents, Edward J. Welby and Ruth M. Welby.
He is survived by: his wife Karyn Welby (Coveney) of San Diego, CA; and his daughters, Claire, Grace, Cassidy and Maeve Welby of San Diego, CA.. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and co-workers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Beardsley-Mitchell Funeral Home (1818 Sunset Cliffs Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (2802 Cadiz St, San Diego, CA 92110). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Beardsley-Mitchell Funeral Home (1818 Sunset Cliffs Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107).
