It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Ballard in Manteca, California, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Rideau and Pearl Williams; her son Charles Palmer; her siblings, Annie Mae Cyriaque, Mildred Dawson, Armel Rideau, Leonard Rideau Jr., Roosevelt Rideau, Floyd Rideau and Ferman Rideau; her grandchildren, Marquis, Michael, Tomika, Greg, Eddie, Jr. and Monica; and her great grandchildren, Zela, Fannah, Charles, Carlyle, Dajania, Andrea, Michael, Teona, Tenisha, Tia and Farryn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Patterson (Eddie) and Barbara Palmer; her siblings, Gertrude Mitchell, Herman Rideau and Andola Thompson; and her grandchildren, Dominic, Jace, Kamea, Keanu, Zayvion, Jayden, Amiyah, Jocelyn, Julian, Tamayah, Tarrel, Taliah, Tajh, Tobias, Tamoni, Lavender, Jeremiah and J'reamly.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Park View Cemetery (3661 E French Camp Rd, Manteca, CA 95336).
