She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Elsworth Newman; her son Erik O'Brien Newman; and her brother Melvin Dowell. She is survived by: her children, Emmanuel (Maria) of Winchester, CA and Dr. Michelle Newman of Winchester, CA; her grandchildren, Lauren of Stafford, VA, Nichella (Jacob) of Fort Irwin, CA, Enzo of Frisco, TX and Marco of Winchester, CA; her great grandchildren, Montez, Nikolas, Joziah, Isaiah, Kyarra and Elijah; and her siblings-in-law, Lawrence, Samuel, Shirn and Louetta. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the View Church (26701 McCall Blvd, Menifee, CA 92562). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Her spiritual life was filled with prayers and acts of kindness, as she embodied the Christian values of charity and love in every aspect of her life.
