He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Gariepy and Mildred M. Gariepy; and his wife Margaret Fennegein Gariepy. He is survived by: his siblings, Valery Gariepy Rodi (Richard) and Mark P. Gariepy (late Ruth Gariepy); his children, Geoffrey Gariepy (Angela Beauchamp Gariepy), Jennifer Gariepy (Maurice Greenia) and Elizabeth Gariepy (Erich Junker); and his grandchildren, Savannah Gariepy LeGault (Patrick LeGault), Joshua Gariepy (Sophia Gugel) and Kaylee Junker.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home (20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots.
