He is survived by: his wife Carol Hoffman; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law Rachel O'Byrne; his grandchildren, Graham and Corrina Rebain; and his sisters, Nicolette Ellinghausen and Romeyn Rebain. He is also survived by many sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. - Grosse Pointe (16300 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). The lying in state will be held on Tuesday, April 21st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ambrose Church (15020 Hampton St, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
