He was predeceased by : his son George S. Hendrie III; and his brother Jack Hendrie (late Arlene). He is survived by : his wife Mary Louise Hendrie; his sons, Paul Hendrie, Edward Hendrie (Chris Ann) and Peter Hendrie; his grandchildren, Laura Milby (Josh), Racheal Owen (Devon) and Stephanie McKay (Brad); his great grandchild Charles Owen; and his siblings, Mary Kennedy (late Peter) and Michael Hendrie (Jan).
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. (16300 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). The lying in state will be held on Friday, January 5th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church (157 Lake Shore Rd, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236). A mass will be held on Friday, January 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
