She is survived by : her husband Booker T. Betts; her children, Veronica Robinson (Demario) of Detroit, Korinne Ishmel (Kevin Jamal'e) of Jacksonville, LaGenda Louis (Tramell Jr.) of Grand Rapids and Jerond Betts (Luisia) of Austell, Georgia; her grandchildren, Nique, Jaymee Howland, Brianna, Demariah Robinson, Jarinn'e, Ja'Shanna, Ja'Nel Ishmel, LaDara, Tramell Louis III, Roslynn and Raelynn Betts; her great grandchildren, Derrick Jr., Dior Wilson, Nalani, Karson Love, Josiah Ishmel, Exodus and Princess Eden Newell; her siblings, Carnell Kilgo, Velva Hill (Bishop Rendell), Evandis Copeland, Mancy Copeland, McKell Copeland (Annette), Bishop Jimmy Copeland (Paula), Randy Copeland (Terry) and Gene Copeland; her siblings-in-law, Nora Jean Bovastro, Louise Robins (Shannon), Shirley Fells (Edward), Dorothy Shelby (Robert), Alma Betts, Clytee Betts and Ludie Betts (Elsie); and her godson Tony Bonds. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI 49508). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 5th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Pinehill Cemetery (1102 52nd St SE, Kentwood, MI 49508).
