It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James A. Callahan (Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan), who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Shirley Malik; and his brother Michael (Linda). He is survived by : his children, Michael (Debbie) and Katherine; his siblings, John (Kelly) and Bridget Stalvey (Bo); his granddaughter Daphne; and his girlfriend Marcia Cron. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, January 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. (16300 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). The lying in state will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (1491 Baldwin St, Detroit, MI 48214). A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Elliott Cemetery.
