It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sylvia Lena Mevis of Sterling Heights, Michigan, who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by : her child Robin Cain (Dave); her sisters, Mary Freedland (late Jack), Frances Sherman (late Morrie) and Rachel Snyder (late Clarence); and also Arthur.
She is survived by : her daughters, Arlene Sharon Strevel (late Kurt), Lori Ruth Zack (Stuart), Cheryl Robin Mevis, Jill Kemppainen (Jack) and Karen Chapin; and her grandchildren, Connor Evan Zack, Joshua Noah Zack, Haley Rose Gumenick and Ross Charles Gumenick. She is also survived by loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Davidson/Hermelin Chapel at Clover Hill Park Cemetery (2425 E 14 Mile Rd, Birmingham, MI 48009).
