He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo Mitchell and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Mitchell of Detroit. He is survived by : his wife Debbie Mitchell; his children, Matthew Mitchell and Amanda Mitchell Gebhardt (Joseph); his niece Dr. Rachel Morrison; his grandchildren, Viktor Mitchell, Jax Mitchell, Abigail Gebhardt and Evelyn Gebhardt; and his siblings, Ann Adams (David), Phyllis Mitchell Spielman (Craig), Barbara Norman and Leo Mitchell II (Maryanne).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 24th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home (25800 Harper, St Clair Shores, MI 48081). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization dear to his heart and that of his mother and beloved late nephew, Keith Balduck.
